Material Flow Planning Workshop Information

Within this Material Flow Planning workshop the participants will learn on how small changes in material- and information flow will influence the productivity of a logistics system. Therefore we play a picking game. The complete game is divided into three different rounds and we play in two teams. The teams are requested to completely pick the provided picking orders from a pre-arranged storage system. The initial set-up of the game is preset. The participants are required to modify the set-up in a certain way in round 2 and 3 in order to improve the lead time for the pick process and therefore improve productivity.
The participants will learn how a pick process is set-up, how easy we can influence productivity in a warehouse and get to know important methods and their implementation e.g. ABC analyses in practice.
