Kasteel Vaeshartelt is situated in the outer area of Maastricht, close to Meerssen. The castle is easily accessible by car. Although you can also get there by bike or bus, we will offer a shuttle bus connection between the university and the castle. These busses will depart from the SBE faculty and shuttle back and forth to drop off and/or pick up students, taking into account their day schedules for the MBD as well as regular tutorials.
How to reach Kasteel Vaeshartelt
By bus (public transport)
Bus lines 59 (to Sittard) and 5 (Amby) depart frequently from Maastricht’s central train station in the direction of the castle. You will have to get off at bus-stop “Kruispunt Meerssen”. From here, you have to walk an additional 10 minutes. For your perfect transit visit www.9292ov.nl.
By car from Maastricht:
Follow Meerssenerweg, after several kilometers take the exit Weert (on the left side) and cross the railway twice; then straight onto the drive-way.
By car from Heerlen:
Motorway A-79 Heerlen-Maastricht, exit 1 Rothem-Bunde; at the end turn to the right. Turn left at the first roundabout, direction Maastricht. Then the first road on the right (direction Weert) and cross the railway twice. You'll drive straight onto the drive-way of Kasteel Vaeshartelt.
By car from Eindhoven:
Motorway A2 Eindhoven-Maastricht. Follow the motorway until you arrive at the traffic lights; turn right and turn right again at the next traffic lights. Follow the Meerssenerweg. After several kilometers take the exit Weert (on the left side) and cross the railway twice; then you'll drive straight onto the drive-way of Kasteel Vaeshartelt.
